If you find it difficult to unwind or ‘switch off’ – you are not alone. In a fast-paced world of competing tasks and priorities, it can be hard to slow down, manage stress and face the challenges that come our way. When life gets too busy or overwhelming, we tend feel we are ‘running the rat race’ and surviving, rather than thriving. Sometimes we feel lost or we resist what is, as our current circumstances seem too much to handle

 

Counselling provides a non-judgemental and safe space where I can listen and understand what is going on for you in one or multiple areas of your life. Rather than looking at symptoms alone, I can help you uncover the root cause of what may be keeping you stuck, scared or unfulfilled. Counselling can assist you to release limiting beliefs and patterns of thoughts and behaviour that no longer serve you and are stopping you from achieving your goals and desires

 

My approach is gentle, warm, heart-centred and holistic. I have a special interest in stress management and self-care, with compassion being the foundation of support. We work alongside each other, rather than me being the ‘expert’

 

Some areas I support people with are anxiety, depression, sleep difficulties, interpersonal relationships, stress, assertiveness training, life transitions and adjustments, school and workplace issues, self-esteem, confidence and relaxation/self-care. When we give ourselves the time and space to reflect and heal, we notice wonderful changes and shifts occur - lowered stress, a calmer and positive mindset, living in alignment with our values, richer connections with others, work/life balance and more peace

Nutrition and Health Coaching

Have you tried many diets but nothing seems to work? Do you wish you had more time to dedicate to your health? Do you want to cook more often but don’t know any recipes and feel daunted in the kitchen? Are you confused about all the mixed messages about what constitutes a ‘healthy’ lifestyle and food choices? If you answered yes to any of these questions, read on to see how I can help!

Nutrition and Health Coaching can help you make positive and lasting changes for overall health and wellness. I utilise an integrative model, which means I look at the whole person, understanding that we are all individuals with various needs, habits, body shapes, circumstances and ways of thinking. I work within a Health at Every Size (HAES) framework, strongly believing in the benefits of self-compassion, joyful movement and eating for well-being.  We can discuss your areas of concern, consider information and options, explore obstacles and barriers to change, set goals and action plans, help you create a vision and learn tools for developing a healthy mindset and healthful habits. Some benefits people report from Nutrition and Health Coaching are increased energy levels and motivation, learning more about nutritional properties of food for nourishment, expanding their recipe repertoire and food variety and improved quality of sleep

Sound healing

Tibetan singing bowls have been used for centuries for healing and meditation purposes. In a sound healing session, the unique layered tones emit brainwave-altering binaural beats and soothing frequencies to help restore and re-calibrate your mind, body and spirit. Bowls can be played on and off the body, giving your soul some pampering and nourishing through sound bath, sound massage and chakra balancing, Singing bowls create the perfect state for relaxation, tension release, creative thinking, deep meditation, silencing the 'inner critic' and the dissolvement of pain and blockages

Wellbeing workshops

Wellbeing workshops are a lovely way to learn new tools and strategies, reflect, share with others and nurture yourself. They also provide a unique opportunity to meet like minded people experiencing the same difficulties as yourself. I run private wellbeing workshops and can tailor these to suit the needs of organisations, including the Corporate and Not-for-profit sector. Some workshop topics include stress management, self-care, self-compassion, managing difficult emotions, gratitude, mindfulness, food and mood (wholesome nutrition) and self-massage. If you would like to hear more, check out the events page, or please get in touch!
